Multi-Skills Sports Winners!
Fri 17 Feb 2017Well done to our Year 5 pupils who took part in a Multi-Sports competition and came joint first overall with Bryn Deri Primary! A great achievement and once again, lovely to see sporting success being profiled at Willowbrook!

Year 3 Tag Rugby Skills Day
Wed 15 Feb 2017Some of our Year 3 pupils spent a great day at Cardiff Arms Park, developing their tag rugby skills! They took part in a number of skills sessions and had a brilliant time. Thanks to Mr. Slade & Mr. Eagles for taking them and taking part too!

Year 3 & 4 Fitness Competition
Wed 08 Feb 2017Some of our Year 3 & 4 pupils represented Willowbrook in a Fitness Competition involving 14 teams. They did really well, completing all the skills circuits with dedication and commitment and came away with a 3rd place spot! It's great to see these kinds of broad sporting opportunities being provided for our pupils - keep up the great work @SportCardiff!

Eco Committee's I-Can Challenge!
Tue 07 Feb 2017On Monday 6th February members of our Eco Committee took part in an 'I-Can Challenge' at Thornhill Primary School. Fifteen schools were involved and had to showcase their work to develop eco-friendly practices in and around their schools. Our team have worked so hard with Miss Davies steering the ship and the photos show the huge scope of eco-aware work that they have done. This has helped make us all aware of the importance of protecting our environment and we are so very grateful to them all.
Willowbrook Primary received an award for being the most sustainable school and this is something we want to maintain in the months and years to come! Well done Eco-Team!

Class 2's Open Afternoon for Parents
Wed 01 Feb 2017It was lovely to welcome parents to our 'Open Afternoon' which gave them the opportunity to see a usual learning afternoon in full swing! The children took part in a wide variety of activities and were supported and guided by our excellent teaching team in Reception. Thank you Mums and Dads for taking the time to come in!

Table Tennis Competition
Tue 31 Jan 2017Today four of our Year 5 pupils took part in a table tennis competition based at the Cardiff Table Tennis Club. There were round-robin games throughout the day and the lads did really well coming in the top half of the table with over 30 pupils involved. Some silky skills (including spin!) were very evident - da iawn lads!

Year 5 visit to Storey Arms
Sat 28 Jan 2017What a fantastic three days our Year 5 pupils experienced at the Storey Arms Outdoor Education Centre! The weather was dry but incredibly cold yet this did not deter our determined pupils who learnt so much through every experience...hill-walking, gorge-exploring, tunnel discovering, canoeing, dorm tidying, meal serving and team-building! Thanks to the fabulous instructors who guided, helped and cared for us all. We had an unforgettable time!
