National Literacy Competition in Brecon
Well, what a day!! Eleven of our pupils took part in the National Literacy Competition based in Brecon. There were two elements to the competition: one was a discussion based on the book 'Tree of Leaf and Flame' written by a well-known children's author, Daniel Morden. Four of our Year 6 pupils took part in this and enjoyed the experience!
The second element involved a presentation on stage where our Year 4 girls re-enacted part of the book 'Harri, Harri and the Cat Club' by Welsh author, Liz Haigh.
The fantastic news to share is that Willowbrook Primary School came first in the whole country for their superb presentation! We are so proud of you all for taking part and for being exc ellent ambassadors for the school. Arddechog pawb!
