Well done to one of our Year 6 pupils who helped Cardiff Schools under 11s beat Pontypriddd in the Cup Final at Cardiff Arms Park. They won 50-25 with our star pupil contributing by scoring two tries - a sterling from the Cardiff side!
Our Eco Committee paid a memorable and informative visit to the water treatment centre at Cog Moors. They learnt how water is sifted and filtered to be reused and they had the opportunity to see the different stages in the process that helps gives the running water we enjoy in our homes! Their behaviour was also exemplary and they served to be excellent Willowbrook ambassadors.
Well done to our super Girls' football team who came through as finalists at the football tournament kindly hosted by Bryn Hafod Primary. They played so well and just lost out on winning with penalties at the death! They certainly made Mrs Parsons, their Coach and us all so proud of this great achievement!
Our boys' football side enjoyed representing the school at the 'Hafod Cup' Tournament at Meadowlane Primary School today. Another opportunity to produce a great team effort with some great quality football played and intriguing games to watch - well done lads!
Our girls' football club combined with St. John's College to celebrate the opening of the new 4G pitch at Eastern Active Leisure Centre. They practised and further developed their football skills and enjoyed playing some competitive matches too! Well done girls and thanks to Mrs Parsons for being a great coach and we are once again so proud to be part of another great sporting event organised by Sport Cardiff!
Our girls' Tag Rugby side performed brilliantly in a school's competition last week, playing and winning 4 games out of 4! We are so proud of them all and we are grateful to Mr. Harford and Mr. Slade for coaching and preparing them so well!
Well done to our Year 5 & 6 Willowbrook football team who got through to the qualifying stages winning both pool matches. They narrowly lost 2-1 to Rhiwbina but came home having made is justifiably proud of their performance and attitude - well played lads!
What a beautiful day we had showing our French partner pupils and staff some of our Welsh History at St. Fagans Museum. I think we had a touch of French weather to help make the day complete! Our visitors loved the tour and our French Club (under Miss Davies' tutelage!) proved to be great hosts - what an unforgettable day for us all!
