Bookslam National Books Competition
Wed 14 Jun 2017Well done to our 8 Year 6 pupils who represented the school in the final of the Bookslam! competition run by the Welsh Books Council. Their task was to read two books by Welsh authors and discuss the content of one and re-enact the storyline of the other. They performed brilliantly on the 'big stage' which is no small thing and had actually composed the 8 minute script themselves! We are all really proud of your efforts, arddechog pawb!

Jacobs Engineering Company helps clear our gardening area
Fri 05 May 2017We are so grateful to Jacob engineering company for selecting Willowbrook Primary as part of their community partnership to carry out some much appreciated gardening work in the Key Stage 2 playground. They cleared the allotment beds, repaired and replaced some of the wooden frames and planted a variety of eco-friendly plants. They also gave us an 'Insect Hotel' which helps attract a variety of invertebrates.
Our thanks again to the team of volunteers who gave up their afternoon to make a difference to our school grounds!
