Year 6 Leavers' Concert
Tue 18 Jul 2017What an evening our Year 6 leavers shared with their Mums, Dads and Grandparents in their wonderful production of 'Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits.' Visually eye-catching, wonderful backdrop scenery and absolute mastery in casting and delivery! They have been a great cohort and we will miss them very much - onwards & upwards into Year 7 and we wish you all every happiness!

Jeff Smith, Everest Explorer, visits Willowbrook!
Mon 17 Jul 2017It was a real honour to welcome Jeff Smith back to Willowbrook to share his incredible recent summit of Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain at 29,029 feet. He was a real inspiration to us all and shared the importance of teamwork, setting a goal to aim to achieve and the value of working hard to realise that goal. It was lovely to learn so much from him and to think he summited at the tender age of 53 - truly inspiring!

Year 2 sports skills winners!
Wed 05 Jul 2017A great performance from our 15 Year 2 pupils coming in as overall winners in the Sports Skills competition at Llanrumney Playing fields! They had to demonstrate their talents across five skills areas: athletics, cricket, football, netball and tennis. Thanks as always to Sport Cardiff for organising a superb morning for the children!

Final Friday of Fitness Week!
Fri 16 Jun 2017What a beautiful day to finish off a fabulous week! The field is filled with sporting activity including a special shooting session from the 'Welsh Target Shooting Federation' for Year 4! It has been a super week - well done everyone!

Foundation Phase Sports Day 2017
Wed 14 Jun 2017A great event enjoyed by everyone and the weather was once again very kind to us! Thanks to Mrs Cheetham and Mrs Reeves for doing a great job in organising the event and to the children for being so enthusiastic in representing their houses!

Bookslam National Books Competition
Wed 14 Jun 2017Well done to our 8 Year 6 pupils who represented the school in the final of the Bookslam! competition run by the Welsh Books Council. Their task was to read two books by Welsh authors and discuss the content of one and re-enact the storyline of the other. They performed brilliantly on the 'big stage' which is no small thing and had actually composed the 8 minute script themselves! We are all really proud of your efforts, arddechog pawb!

KS2 Sports Day 2017
Tue 13 Jun 2017Enjoy the photos giving a great overview of the events and competition of this morning's Sports Day for Key Stage 2. Well done to Willow House for coming through as eventual winners - but all to play for tomorrow as Foundation Phase has their Sports Day...every point counts!
