Health and Safety Update – Willowbrook Primary School

Dear Parents/Carers,

In light of the growing concerns, and media coverage, with regard to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the school would like to reassure you that we continue to receive regular updates from Cardiff County Council.

The Council is closely monitoring guidance from the Welsh Government/NHS Wales and we will keep you updated with any further developments, especially those linked to educational settings.

These are some of the messages being discussed in classes and we ask that you continue to do the same with your child/children:

Pupils, students, staff and visitors should wash their hands:

  • before leaving home
  • on arrival at school
  • after using the toilet
  • after breaks and sporting activities
  • before food preparation
  • before eating any food, including snacks
  • before leaving school

In order to reassure everyone further:

  • There are tissue boxes for each classroom
  • Soaps available in all toilets
  • Additional soap and hand drying materials have been placed in all classrooms
  • NHS Coronavirus education posters are displayed in all areas of the school
  • Notices to parents on any updates
