Today we had the privilege of inviting members of the Royal Welsh College for Music & Drama as well as members of the Welsh National Opera. They worked with Classes 10 & 11 on a variety of creative themes for the morning workshops. Then the highlight of the day for pupils and staff was the production of Roald Dahl's 'Dirty Beasts' - one experienced teacher commented that it was one of the best school-based productions she had ever seen! Have a look at the pictures to get a flavour of the performance.
Our netball team had a great day taking part in a competition involving schools from the east of Cardiff. Each team played in a match against the other schools at the St. Mellons Community Centre and our girls played so well; they were competitive, enthusiastic, team-minded and good spirited. Well done everyone for contributing to a fantastic day and to Sport Cardiff for organising the tournament so well!
What a wonderful day we had celebrating and enjoying all things 'Welsh' - recognising and rewarding outstanding work across the whole school. Design Technology projects, artistic landscapes and impressions, beautifully crafted handwriting and inspired creative writing were evidence of the talent the school has!
Llongyfarchiadau to our Chair of the Bard whose brilliantly written poem about the Welsh Dragon was the finale to a great day.
Well done also to Willow House for gaining the most house points and whose name will be inscribed on our St. David's Day shield for 2016 - arddechog pawb!
